Tayo Para sa Paaralang Ligtas, Maayos at Handa Mula sa Kindergarten Hanggang Senior High School is this year’s challenge for all of us in ensuring that the education of our youth is in the right path. For the last thirteen (13) years, Brigada Eskwela was able to do tremendous job in preparing the schools for the opening of classes and even forging commitment between any stakeholders/private institutions and the Department of Education for the contititlenued support for education.
In the division of Davao City, Mahayag National High School was chosen to be the host for the Division Kick-Off Program. Several preparations were made including campaign for BE implementation, seeking support for materials, and asking any forms of support from all stakeholders who wishes to be a part of this noble cause.
Last May 30, 2016, parents, students, volunteers, local and national government officials, NGO, private sector, religious sector, important personalities in the department and other volunteers trooped to this school (Mahayag National High School) to do volunteerism gearing towards the said goal/theme.
No less than the Honorable Mylene J. Garcia, the second district representative of this city; Maria Ines C. Asuncion, CESO VI, the schools division superintendent of the Division of City Schools of Davao City and company; and other important dignitaries,
witnessed and volunteered the opening of the Brigada Eskwela. A short program was also held at the gymnasium of Barangay Mahayag.title In the lunch break, a boodle fight was shared by the parents, volunteers, teachers, police officials, barangay officials and other important dignitaries. The DepEd Division of Davao City-team of supervisors, education program specialists, department heads, staffs and crews shared their time and effort on different nature of voluntary works during the day.
For the first day of implementation, Mahayag National High School was able to generated One Hundred Fifty-Three Thousand Forty-Two pesos and twenty-five centavos (P 153,042.25) – converted into peso amount of various supplies, materials, food provisions and cost of labor of the seven hundred seventeen 717 various stakeholders and volunteers.
This BE is a week-long celebration but will not totally end simply because the support and commitment that has been forged signifies infinity for the attainment of the said goal.title
