Davao City division delegates earned the most number of spots for the national competition both in individual and team events of the recently concluded Regional Schools Press Conference (RSPC) in Sto. Tomas, Davao del Norte on November 3-6, 2017.
Despite the two-week gap of the division elimination from the regional contest, delegates from both public and private schools of the division were able to earn the most coveted slots for the National Schools Press Conference (NSPC).
“I congratulate the school paper advisers and campus journalists for the efforts they have extended that resulted to the achievement of these awards. I hope that you will continue to work even harder to achieve the same results in the NSPC,” Dr. Rene P. Sultan, the division campus journalism coordinator expressed in an interview.
The delegation had emerging victories particularly in the team events for the secondary level where the Ateneo de Davao University campus journalists championed in scriptwriting and radio broadcasting English while team of the University of Immaculate Concepcion in collaborative desktop publishing Filipino was declared the champion. These awards earned team Davao City the championship in the team events category for the secondary level.
