MOA for the Construction of Classroom Buildings in Davao City PDF Print E-mail

DAVAO CITY―The Department of Education Davao City Division (DepEd) received classrooms through the initiative of the City Government of Davao spearheaded by Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio. The Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) was signed between the Department of Education Davao City Division and EMCOR (Inc.) on August 30, 2018, Thursday at the City Mayor’s Conference Room, Davao City Hall.

“It is with great honor to pay back to what the City has done to EMCOR,” Mr. Jaime C. del Rosario, President and Chairman of EMCOR, said. The President highlighted the fact that the company, on its sixth decade, made this gesture as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), the call to respond to the pressing concerns in society. alt

Talaban of EMCOR Inc. signed the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the Construction of Classroom Buildings in Davao City.

EMCOR promised to provide classrooms to the different schools in Davao City.

The first four school recipients of the two-story classroom buildings were as follows: Emilio Ramos National High School, F. Bustamante National High School, Biao Guianga Elementary School and Alambre Elementary School, respectively.

According to Schools Division Superintendent (SDS) Maria Ines C. Asuncion CESO V of DepEd Division of Davao City, working with EMCOR shall pave the way for an increase in the achievement rate of learners. SDS Asuncion expressed her gratitude to the Local Government Unit of Davao for facilitating their CSR to DepEd. SDS Asuncion assured that this effort will never be taken for granted by all the learners and the DepEd community.

The project, which was pursuant to the Adopt-A-School-Act of 1998 (R.A no. 8525), was realized through the initiative of the City Government of Davao City, EMCOR Inc., the Jesus V. del Rosario Foundation, Inc., the JRDM Builders and the DepEd Division of Davao City.
